นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารและข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนายลี เซียน ลุง นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ และดร. วิเวียน บาลากริชนัน รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสิงคโปร์ กรณีนาย S R Nathan อดีตประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ถึงอสัญกรรม เมื่อวันที่ ๒๒ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๙ ดังนี้
1. สารแสดงความเสียใจจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีสิงคโปร์
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of His Excellency Mr. S R Nathan, the former and longest-serving President of the Republic of Singapore. On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the family of former President S R Nathan as well as to the people of Singapore, for this irreplaceable loss.
The Royal Thai Government recalls with great pride and honour the State Visit to Thailand by President S R Nathan and Madame Urmila Nandey in 2005, as Guests of Their Majesties the King and the Queen, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Singapore. It was the first State Visit by the Head of State of Singapore to Thailand, which significantly contributed to the enrichment and advancement of our close bilateral relations.
We in Thailand also respectfully remember His Excellency Mr. S R Nathan for his life - long dedication to underprivileged people through projects such as the “President’s Challenge” charity event. His Excellency Mr.S R Nathan will continue to live in the hearts and minds of all Singaporeans for his kindness and selfless service to the Singapore nation.

2. ข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสิงคโปร์
I wish to express my deepest condolences to you and through you, to thepeople of Singapore on the passing away of His Excellency Mr. S. R. Nathan, the former and longest-serving President of the Republic of Singapore.
His Excellency Mr. S. R. Nathan has played a significant role in promoting relations between Thailand and Singapore during his tenure as First Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore and President of the Republic of Singapore. The State Visit by His Excellency Mr. S. R. Nathan and Madame Urmila Nandey as Guests of Their Majesties the King and Queen on 17-21 January 2005 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Singapore was the first State Visit by a Head of State of Singapore and a memorable highlight in the bilateral relations of the two countries until the present.
