ตามที่สาธารณรัฐตุรกีได้มีการลงประชามติการแก้ไขรัฐธรรมนูญเมื่อวันที่ ๑๖ เมษายน ๒๕๖๐ นั้น
พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายบินาลี เยิลเดอเริม นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐตุรกี และนายเมฟเลิต ชาวูโชลู รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐตุรกี ตามลำดับ โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, my sincere congratulations on the successful constitutional referendum on 16 April 2017. The majority support for the constitutional amendments clearly reflects the Turkish people’s strong will to take a bold step to transform Turkey into a stronger nation.
I am certain that this political change will further strengthen Turkey’s ability to meet her political and economic challenges in decades ahead. I wish Your Excellency and President Erdo?an every success in this important task. The Royal Thai Government remains committed to work with the Government of Turkey to advance Thai-Turkish cooperation for the mutual benefits of our two countries and peoples.

As Turkey celebrates the results of her constitutional referendum, I wish to offer my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and the Turkish people.
The successful referendum last Sunday marked the beginning of a new chapter of Turkey since the founding of modern Turkey in 1923. The stronger Turkey will significantly contribute to security, peace and prosperity in the region and beyond. I wish Turkey and the Turkish people a brighter and more prosperous future. I also look forward to continued good cooperation between Thailand and Turkey, both bilaterally and internationally.
