นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ส่งสารแสดงความเสียใจไปยังประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย กรณีเขื่อน Situ Gintung แตก ดังนี้
Excellency,
It is with profound sadness to learn that when the Situ Gintung dam burst in the early hours of 27 March 2009, it took the lives of over 90 people and left many homeless and that there are still many people missing. During this sorrowful time, I would like to extend my profound condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved families. I hope that the livelihood of those affected by this tragic incident will be back to normal soon. I wish to assure Your Excellency that Thailand always stands ready to assist and support Indonesia in her time of needs.
