ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวที่สาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย เมื่อวันที่ 2 กันยายน 2552 นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงประธานาธิบดี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย ดังนี้

I have learnt with profound sadness about the powerful earthquake in West Java on 2 September 2009, which caused tragic loss of lives and injuries. During this time of grief and sorrow, I would like to express, on behalf of the Government and the people of Thailand, our condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved and injured families. Your Excellency can rest assured that the Royal Thai Government stands ready to assist and support Indonesia in any way possible to ease the terrible effects of this natural disaster.
