I have learnt with profound sadness of the passing away of His Excellency Mr. Lech Kaczy?ski, President of the Republic of Poland, and Mrs. Maria Kaczy?ska on 10 April 2010, as a result of the plane crash near the town of Smolensk, the Russian Federation. In this moment of sadness and bereavement, allow me, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, to extend to Your Excellency and to the family and relatives of President Kaczynski, in particular former Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczy?ski, as well as the bereaved families and relatives of all the other high-ranking officials and passengers on board, our sincere condolences and sympathy for this great loss.
