Excellency,

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency my most sincere congratulations on your election as President of the Republic of the Philippines. The impressive election results reflect the trust and confidence that the people of the Philippines have in Your Excellency.

I am confident that, under your able guidance and leadership, the Philippines will continue to prosper as a stable liberal democratic country and actively contribute to the building of an ASEAN Community in the years ahead. Thailand and the Philippines have maintained longstanding and cordial relations, and I wish to take this opportunity to express to Your Excellency my readiness to work closely with you for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples. I wish you success in all your endeavours.
