ด้วยในโอกาสที่นาย Francesco Cossiga อดีตประธานาธิบดีอิตาลีถึงแก่อสัญกรรม เมื่อวันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2553 นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจไปยังนายกรัฐมนตรีอิตาลี และนายกษิต ภิรมย์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจไปยังรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอิตาลี ดังนี้
