Acer's collaboration with the Formula One Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro racing team is adding the much-awaited Ferrari 3200 to collectors' merchandise, fortifying Acer's role as a global PC industry leader. The flawlessly designed Ferrari 3200 instills exceptional performance, brilliant graphics, and lightning-fast connectivity, creating a striking symbol of the cooperation between Acer and Ferrari. Acer became an official supplier of IT products to Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro in February 2003.
The Ferrari 3200 signals the coming of a new age - one where a productivity tool demonstrates flair and panache. Coated in Ferrari red and sporting the coveted Prancing Horse emblem, the Ferrari 3200 is the next generation of the Ferrari 3000 notebook, and exhibits further refinement in aesthetic design and system performance, boosting its appeal to image conscious buyers.

The Ferrari touch
Featuring craftsmanship in the sculpted form of a high-gloss, scratch-resistant bonnet, each Ferrari logo is hand-placed to ensure the highest quality. A revolutionary ten-step process is used to achieve an extra glossy finish, while paint supplied by the world-renowned DuPont Finishes assures refinement. Acer has also introduced a lightweight, woven carbon-fiber strip across the top of the keyboard to display a textured sparkle and provide a race car-like feel. To complete the masterpiece, the hand-polished top cover of each notebook for a gleam like Ferrari cars' metallic coat, and equally distinguished Ferrari USB optical mouse, round out the triumphant look.
Advanced graphics and speed
The Ferrari 3200 is endowed with the most advanced graphics technology - the ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 - and operates with128 MB of video memory for intense 3D gaming, while the 15-inch, 200-nit, high-brightness TFT LCD screen offers precise and sharp image quality. The Ferrari 3200 allows users to surf the Internet at incredible speed with WLAN 802.11g or gigabit Ethernet, enabling the ultimate swiftness when downloading videos, music, pictures or other large files. Wi-Fi compatibility is also assured as users move between Wi-Fi zones based on the 802.11b/g standard. What's more, the Bluetooth-enabled Ferrari 3200 permits unfettered connection to peripherals; while a trusty 56K modem lets users log on anywhere, anytime. Meanwhile, advanced Mobile AMD Athlon technology with 512 MB of DDR333 memory and improved processing bandwidth makes multi-tasking and increased productivity a breeze.

The Ferrari 3200's myriad of multimedia features includes a slot-load DVD-Super Multi optical drive, which provides optimum entertainment value and the ability to burn DVD movies or backup critical data. Its 4-in-1 card reader guarantees users access to their files using the most popular memory cards found in today's digital appliances. Furthermore, Acer has provided a massive 80 GB hard disc drive for storing movies, songs and vital data, while an additional FireWire (IEEE 1394) port affords lightning-fast data transfers.
