เนื่องจากปริมาณขยะอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ซึ่งนับวันยิ่งเพิ่มจำนวนมากขึ้น และ ภูมิภาคเอเชีย ก็ยิ่งนับวันกลายเป็นแหล่งทิ้งขยะอิเล็กทรอนิกส์แหล่งใหญ่ที่สุดของโลกเข้าไปทุกขณะ จึงเป็นความจำเป็นเร่งด่วนที่รัฐบาลต้องกำหนดมาตรการเพื่อแก้ปัญหานี้อย่างยั่งยืน กรีนพีซนำเสนอนโยบายการจัดการขยะ “ความรับผิดชอบที่เพิ่มขึ้นของผู้ผลิต” (Extended Producer Responsibility, EPR) ซึ่งริเริ่มในทวีปยุโรปมาประยุกต์ใช้ เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ผู้ผลิตป้องกันมลพิษ และลดการใช้ทรัพยากรในแต่ละช่วงอายุของสินค้า ตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนการผลิต การใช้ ตลอดจนเมื่อสินค้าหมดอายุการใช้งานแล้ว โดยการเปลี่ยนแปลงการออกแบบสินค้าและเทคโนโลยีในการผลิต
สร้างความเข้าใจต่อนโยบาย EPR
ส่งเสริมให้มีการนำนโยบาย EPRมาประยุกต์ใช้ในประเทศไทย
