นายสมคิด จาตุศรีพิทักษ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังเป็นประธานและสักขีพยานในพิธีลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจ (Memorandum of Understanding) เพื่อร่วมมือส่งเสริมการลงทุนของญี่ปุ่นในไทย ระหว่างสำนักงานคณะกรรมกาาส่งเสริมการลงทุนและกลุ่มธนาคาร United Financial of Japan (UFJ) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยธนาคารซันวา และธนาคารโตไกแห่งญี่ปุ่น ในวันพุธที่ 14 พ.ย. 44 เวลา 14.00 น. ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (ห้องสีเหลือง) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
