ในวันนี้ AMD และ Oracle Cloud ประกาศความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องของทั้งสองบริษัทฯ ในการนำโปรเซสเซอร์ AMD มาเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนประสิทธิภาพบนแพลตฟอร์ม Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute E3 และแบบ bare metal โดยแพลตฟอร์ม Oracle Cloud E3 รุ่นใหม่ เหมาะสมที่สุดสำหรับวัตถุประสงค์การใช้งานทั่วไป และเวิร์คโหลดที่ต้องใช้แบนด์วิธสูง เช่น การวิเคราะห์บิ้กดาต้า เวิร์คโหลดงานด้านหน่วยความจำปริมาณมาก และแอปพลิเคชั่นด้านธุรกิจของ Oracle
ด้วยการใช้ประสิทธิภาพการประมวลผลจากโปรเซสเซอร์ AMD EPYC(TM) 7742, Oracle Cloud “E3 Standard” จะช่วยให้ลูกค้าของ Oracle สามารถเข้าถึงการใช้งานการประมวลผลขนาด 64-Core virtual machine (VM) หรือ 128-core bare metal instances ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นการประมวลผลบน bare metal ที่มีจำนวนคอร์สูงที่สุดจากกลุ่มผู้ให้บริการระบบคลาวด์สาธารณะ
