The French Embassy in partnership with the Alliance fran?aise will organize a Hip Hop event in the framework of the French Cultural festival “La F?te” (please find enclosed the detail of the event).
On this occasion, a French choreographer will train a team of 8 to 10 dancers for a dance performance which will be shown in the Patravadi theatre on June 6-7th 2008.
Franco-Thai production “Ecoute”
Performance created in Bangkok as part of a workshop led by Ol? Kamchanla (Cie A'corps) with Thai artists

About Ol? Khamchanla
Dancer, originating from Laos, Ol? Khamchanla has been living in France since the age of two. He trained with several professional dancers such as Fred Bendongue (Cie Azanie) and Gabin Nuissier (Cie Aktuek Force), and expanded his repertory to Capoeira, contemporary dance and Buto.
About the general concept of the workshop
“Ecoute” is a choreographed creation by Ol? Khamchanla for the Cie Regard (France). This performance is a way to discover the contemporary and traditional worlds of Hip-hop. His original version in 2004 played by young dancers from the Rh?ne-Alpes Region has been re-performed by Lao dancers in July 2007, and again by Burmese dancers in September 2007 (“Nasimba”). Ol? Kamchanla is now invited to create a Siamese version with Thai artists for the festival “La F?te” 2008.

About the audition เงื่อนไข การเข้าคัดเลือก
All dancers professional and non professionals are welcomed to apply for the audition. The participants have to be in the field either of Hip hop, contemporary or traditional Thai dance. There is no age limit.
