Course Overview
Ruby On Rails กำลังถูกกล่าวถึงอย่างมากในเวลานี้ เพราะเป็น MVC framework สำหรับสร้าง web applications แบบ web 2.0 คล้ายกับ Struts และ Jsf แต่ไม่มี xml แม้ว่าเราต้องเขียนโปรแกรมบน Rails ด้วยภาษา Ruby ซึ่งคนส่วนใหญ่ไม่คุ้นเคย แต่ Rails ถูกออกแบบมาด้วย ปรัชญา Convention Over Configuration และ Don’t Repeat Yourself (DRY) ทำให้ code ที่จะต้องเขียนน้อยกว่าภาษาอื่นอย่างมาก เรา สามารถเรียนรู้ภาษา Ruby เพียงแค่เริ่มต้น ก็ทำงานบน Rails ได้ Rails จึงเป็นทางเลือกที่น่าสนใจมากๆ สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องสร้าง และดูแล web site แต่ไม่ใช่ programmer
Course Audience
ผู้ที่เคยพัฒนาโปรแกรม web applications ด้วย Java, Dot Net, PHP หรือแม้แต่ CMS ควรจะหยุดทำงานด้วยวิธีเดิมๆ สักพัก เพื่อลองศึกษา framework ใหม่ แล้วคุณจะพบว่า Rails ง่ายกว่า แต่ได้ผลผลิตมากกว่า
Prerequisite: สามารถทำงานกับระบบ Windows ใช้งาน Dos command ใน Command Prompt ได้ และใช้งาน Notepad หรือ editor อื่นที่คุ้นเคยได้

- Rails installation and introduction to MVC web applications.
- Action Pack: Controller and View
- Route, Template, Layout, Partial, and Helper.
- Class, variable, scope, and inheritance.
- ActiveRecord, Model and Scaffolding.
- Working with Database and Migration.
- Create a CRUD web app.
- Testing.
- Build tools and Automation.
