ด้วยกองทุนบำเหน็จบำนาญข้าราชการ (กบข.) ร่วมกับ United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) and the UN Global Compact ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย และสมาคมบริษัทจดทะเบียนไทย จัดงานเสวนาเรื่อง “Principles for Responsible Investment” ในวันอังคารที่ 20 มกราคม 2552 ณ ห้องประชุมศาสตราจารย์สังเวียน อินทรวิชัย ชั้น 3 อาคารตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย โดยมีรายละเอียดการจัดงานเสวนาตามเอกสารแนบ ( สิ่งที่ส่งมาด้วย 1 )
การจัดงานเสวนาดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรณรงค์ให้นักลงทุนสถาบัน หน่วยงานธุรกิจ ตลอดจนกองทุนต่างๆ ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการดำเนินงานที่มีความรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคมและธรรมาภิบาล ซึ่ง กบข. ได้นำแนวคิดเรื่องดังกล่าวเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการดำเนินงานขององค์กรมาตลอด
