กรุงเทพฯ--5 ส.ค.--สถาบันระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการค้าและการพัฒนา
ด้วยสถาบันระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการค้าและการพัฒนา (องค์การมหาชน) ร่วมกับ Centre for Economic Policy Research — CEPR ประเทศอังกฤษ จะจัดสัมมนาเรื่อง “Waves of Protectionism amidst Global Economic Crisis” ในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2552 เวลา 8.30-14.00 น. ณ ห้องดุสิต ฮอลล์ โรงแรมดุสิตธานี กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอ โครงการ “Global Trade Alert” ที่ดำเนินการรวบรวม ติดตามและให้ข้อมูลในแบบ Real-Time เกี่ยวกับมาตรการกีดกันทางการค้าที่นานาประเทศต่างนำมาใช้ ซึ่งมีผลกระทบต่อระบบการค้าระหว่างประเทศและบรรยากาศการค้าเสรีอันดีในสังคมโลก นอกจากนี้ การสัมมนาครั้งนี้ยังเป็นเวทีในการแลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิดและประสบการณ์ของภาครัฐและเอกชนโดยเฉพาะผู้ส่งออกในเรื่องเกี่ยวกับนโยบายกระตุ้นการส่งออกของไทย ตลอดจนปัญหาและอุปสรรคเกี่ยวกับการกีดกันทางการค้าของประเทศคู่ค้าที่ไทยต้องเผชิญในปัจจุบัน ผู้ที่สนใจเข้าร่วมงานสัมมนาสามารถ Download ใบลงทะเบียนได้ที่ www.itd.or.th และส่ง fax มาที่สถาบันระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการค้าและการพัฒนา ภายในวันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2552

Simon J. Evenett is Professor of International Trade and Economic Development at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and Co-Director of the CEPR Programme in International Trade and Regional Economics. Evenett taught previously at Oxford and Rutgers University, and served twice as a World Bank official. He was a non-resident Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institution in Washington.
